Raj Rakshit

Mr. Raj Rakshit is a Scientist at the Tata Consultancy Services Research and Innovation Lab in Kolkata. He joined TCS Research in 2015 after completing his M.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from lIEST Shibpur. His research focuses on developing intelligent, non-contact sensing systems by integrating signal processing, machine learning, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things. Over the past decade, he has worked on translational research spanning physiological monitoring, pipeline-leak detection, machine-health assessment, and mineral-processing equipment. His work has employed infrasonic, ultrasonic, acoustic, radar, and radio-frequency sensing to address real-world industrial and healthcare problems. More recently, his research has focused on acoustic and radar-based condition monitoring of rotating machinery. He is an inventor on more than 30 patent filings, including a design patent, and has authored more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings.
