Special Session

Printed, Flexible and Micro/Nano Sensors: Materials, Fabrication & Applications

This Special Session will bring together researchers working across printed and flexible electronics, advanced materials, and micro/nano sensor technologies. It will provide a platform for sharing current fabrication approaches, materials and processing strategies, recent developments in electrochemical and environmental sensing, and opportunities to integrate these technologies into practical sensor systems for healthcare, environmental monitoring, industrial safety, smart infrastructure, and IoT applications.

Abstract: Printed, flexible, and micro/nano sensor technologies integrate advanced materials with scalable fabrication methods to develop compact, low-cost, energy-efficient, and high-performance sensing systems. This Special Session will highlight recent advances in sensor materials, fabrication processes, device architecture, integration strategies, and emerging applications. The session will focus on the relationships between material selection, fabrication processes, device architecture, and sensor performance, including sensitivity, selectivity, response time, power consumption, flexibility, reproducibility, and long-term stability. Practical challenges related to calibration, packaging, integration, reliability, and scalable manufacturing will also be discussed.
